Scottsburg Boys Tennis Repeats as Invitational Champions

The Scottsburg boys tennis team captured the Scottsburg Invitational title for the second straight year on Saturday, continuing their strong start to the season with a balanced team effort. The Warriors topped the field with a team score of 42 points, outpacing Salem (38), Southwestern (32), Brownstown Central (23), Madison Consolidated (18), Austin (16), Trinity Lutheran (12), and Henryville (4). Scottsburg was led by Jarin Luttrell, who earned a championship at #2 Singles, and the duo of Eli Moffatt and Emmitt Zeigenbein, who claimed the title at #2 Doubles. The Warriors also got a strong runner-up finish at #1 Doubles from Sammy Craig and Carson Jones, while Lane Harris battled to a third-place finish at #3 Singles. At the top of the lineup, Jace Luttrell fought through a tough draw to secure fourth place at #1 Singles. The combination of depth across singles and doubles powered Scottsburg to another invitational crown, showcasing the team’s growth and consistency throughout the lineup. With back-to-back invitational titles now under their belt, the Warriors look to carry their momentum into the rest of the season as they continue their pursuit of conference and postseason success.
